Assessment and Accountability
Assessment and accountability are critical features in any instructional program. With Math 101 Students are assessed multiple times as they progress through each of the math activities. Each Test, Review Test and Mastery Test is timed and graded. Students move forward only after passing these assessment steps. (Response times and passing benchmarks are adjustable). Students and teachers can view Mastery Test scores simply by pressing the "Score" key. Printable "Student Progress Reports" are also available.
Additionally, because regular practice is key to breaking bad counting habits and building fact recall, with the "Math 101 Activity Log" teachers can closely monitor student practice time.

Motivation
Motivation is an essential component in all successful instructional programs. Math 101 incorporates a fun awards program that helps keep kids motivated and engaged. As students successfully complete each math activity, they earn trophies and medallions. These awards appear automatically on the opening Math 101 Activity screen.
