I thought you might like to know.  We have been using Fusions for a couple of years now.  This year we have seen incredible success with several of our students.  Prior to using the Fusion they would not write.  Every day was a bad day because writing is such a big part of being successful in school.  The students had used portable word processors before, and while they were an improvement over handwriting they did not fully resolve the issue of hating to write, nor the problems implementing the conventions of writing.  This year, a few weeks in, we introduced the Fusion.  There was an immediate difference.  The students (3) boys in this case, began asking to write when they arrived in the classroom.  In listening to the text to speech they discovered the lack of spacing in their compositions and learned to put spaces between words.  In using the spell check they recognized that "I' needed to be capitalized in their writing.  They used the rubric at the end of the printed work to reinforce self checking.  Writing became the first thing they asked to do upon entering the class and their ideas began to flow.
