So Easy
Open a file, press the "Word Pred" key and begin typing. (Press Esc to exit.)
Learn as you write
WordStorm will learn your word preference as you write. Previously used words gain higher priority in the Word Prediction list. All new words are collected and added to the prediction list. If you misspell a word, simply correct that word in your file and it is automatically corrected in WordStorm. (New word collection can be disabled.)
Automatic spacing
WordStorm will automatically place a space after each word selected. Commas, periods and other punctuation will automatically backspace into proper location.
Automatic capitalization
Wordstorm will automatically capitalize the first word in each sentence.
Adjustable dictionary size
WordStorm allows you to select the right size list for your students. Dictionary size options: 1,000, 3,000, 6,000, 10,000 words or the entire dictionary (80,000 words).
Adjustable word list size (6 or 9 words)
For some students, selecting from 6 word choices is plenty. For others, 9 word choices works best. WordStorm offers students this important option.
Phonetic or flexible spelling options
WordStorm will offer word choices based upon phonetically misspelled input. WordStorm contains a large database of common phonetic misspellings. For example, if a student were to type in "wen", the options "when" and "Wednesday" will appear in the prediction list. Teachers can add to this phonetic misspelling dictionary.
Topic Specific Word List
Topic specific vocabulary lists can be extremely helpful to developing writers, and WordStorm allows a number of easy ways to install topic specific word lists. One of the best ways is to use the "Split Screen" vocabulary program. The Split Screen allows students to view their word list, notifies students once they have used a word, and gives all words top priority in WordStorm.
Read back
WordStorm can be set to read back each word prior to inserting it into the sentence. This is a great option for students who are unsure of the word options they see. What a difference it can make for your students to be able to hear each option prior to selection. (Your Fusion unit must be equipped with the Text to Speech option.)

We LOVE it and our students adore it. We are in the process of having two of them show it off to the principal. We have had several “non writers”show their mainstream teachers who also were very impressed with what these students would finally write with a great attitude. Honestly I want to go to our site council to get funds to order 15 of them.
